Below are some of the things we at Event Medical Group are able to offer to our clients, from training, to event cover to supplies.

Event Medical Services

Our event cover is provided nationwide from small gala days to large scale sporting events and gigs. We can provide a range of professional and passionate staff from First aiders, Medics, First Responders, Nurses, Technicians, paramedics and Doctors. Most first aiders are enhanced with further training of medical gases and equipment handling. They can be on foot or part of our cycle response team. Our staff can cater towards nightlife/gigs that can include further alcohol and drug training. Our standards are unique for our first aiders with a recognised Certificated qualification and an up to date PVG our staff are experienced and provide high quality patient care.

Ambulance services

An ambulance can be vital for events for transporting the sick and injured to hospital for life threatening events. It can be a safe, dry and confidential place to treat a patient in the all-weather. Full equipped with the necessary tools to help deal with the more complicated high impact injuries. we can Provide front line ambulances with a full complimented crew. Every Vehicle will be manned by a HCPC registered paramedic. We can also provide other vehicles for your event such as a Minibuses, Quad Bikes and 4x4’s. All our staff have a wealth of knowledge and Experience in the Pre-hospital care sector.

Repatriation Services

We can provide a variety of transportation Services, which can range from patients, organs, medical equipment or even medical specimens. This can either by routine or urgent transport. If your need is urgent we can deliver swiftly deliver under blue light conditions. We can provide private ambulance hire and patient transport to transfer via stretcher, wheelchair or walk-on patients to and from hospital, doctor or clinic appointments.

High Risk Events

Event Medical group pride ourselves on our ability to provide safe and secure medical coverage at high risk events such as motorsport and high intense sporting events such as Boxing, Karate and Judo. We Provide Pre Medical assessments for all participants in the sport. Working closely with the event organisers and referees to ensure the safety of all that attend.

Film and TV

Our Vehicles and staff have previously featured in various movies and television programs. The vehicles are available for hire for this purpose; we can tailor the Equipment/Vehicle to suit your needs where possible. Event Medical Group understand that discretion is key while working for your company and our staff work under strict confidentially procedures. We can also arrange medical coverage of the events including Building up and breaking it down.

Training Services

The Event Medical Group has an extensive background in training. This can range from Health and safety, First aid and Fire safety. We can tailor courses and timings. We can work within your shift pattern, weekend work or event split the course to suit your needs. Together with the Business Training associates Centre we are registered with IOSH, HSE, Qualsafe, REHIS and NEBOSH. All our certificates are nationally recognised for peace of mind. We can provide further Prehospital training in which are freely available to our staff.

Pre-event Planning

With our extensive knowledge of health and safety backed by our Parental company The Business Training Associates Centre we can help provide Risk assessments and safety plans by proven health and safety consultants. We know this can be overwhelming and time consuming. However, with our friendly knowledgeable staff we can help provide a safe and smooth flowing event. We will happily attend any pre planning meetings to advise on subjects pertaining to medical cover. Work tireless with Organisers during the event to make sure every patient is cared for and follow up with feedback or debriefing of events.

Staff Roles

Here are our staff roles and what they will be doing.

Event First Aider

The role of a first aider is to provide immediate aid to the sick and injured. A first aider is responsible for making sure they treat the patient to the best of their abilities and training and knowing when to get further assistance. As a first aider at events, they will help us to provide first aid to the public at events large and small within the community.

Medic

Medic is a title that is equivalent to First response emergency care level 3 or similar. This is a minimum standard for our company allowing staff to deliver patient care in a professional high standard. Medics are able to treat wounds, fractures and provide life support. Staff are versed in using suitable equipment for dealing with emergency situations.

Medic Level I

Contributing to the best possible patient experience, with the delivery of high-quality patient assessment and treatment in a range of events which may include basic wound/fracture care and additional Patient Assessment, Intermediate life support and assisting more senior qualified clinicians.

Medic Level A

Medic advanced is our highest standard of first aider which includes the equivalent of first response emergency care level four with administration of safer medications. This role is equivalent to a technician’s knowledge and skill set without seven hundred and fifty hours of clinical experience. This role allows patients to be able to treat medical conditions such as anaphylaxis, asthma, heart attacks and deliver oxygen therapy. These medics advanced for perfect for high-risk events such as boxing and motorsport events.

Cycle Response Medic

The Cycle Response Unit may offer patients appropriate care pathways if further clinical and local patient referral pathways knowledge is obtained thus saving motorised vehicle response and providing a better patient outcome. This kind of response assists the NHS, in collaboration with other social and healthcare agencies in many performance measured areas as well as being an environmentally friendly and cost effective.

Ambulance Assistant

Our Ambulance assistants are not only trained in road craft and emergency blue light driving but are trained to our event standard. This allows them to be diverse due to the demands of the situation. These Ambulance Assistants transport patients to appropriate medical facilities from the event locations in either urgent or emergency situations.

Ambulance Technician

Contributing to the best possible patient experience, with the delivery of high quality patient assessment and treatment in a range of environments, including the provision of health advice, see and treat and transportation to appropriate medical facilities, generally, although not exclusively, in urgent and emergency situations. Technicians are able to administer oral and intermuscular medication

Point of Contact

The role of the Point of Contact (POC) is to liaise with the organiser of the event. The Point of contact is medically trained and can still attend to emergencies. The POC organises the staff, confirms the completed paperwork and feedbacks to both the company and the organiser.

Event Nurse

State registered Nurses with the NMC can respond and manage emergency incidents whilst attending events as an Event Nurse. Provide clinical, social and holistic care and undertake clinical assessment and interventions in the out of hospital environment, which may include venues such as stadia, concert halls, motorsports track, road races etc. staff will mainly involve working in treatment units or temporary event medical centres.

Paramedic

Respond and manage emergency incidents whilst attending events as an Event Paramedic. Provide emergency pre-hospital care to undertake clinical assessment and interventions to those individuals in the out of hospital environment. The paramedic role will encompass working on ambulances, solo response and within treatment units as required. Paramedics are registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

Event Doctor

Event doctors are registered with the General Medical Council (GMC). Event Doctors are overall Clinic lead for any event they attend. They will provide clinical, social and holistic care and undertake clinical assessment and interventions in the any environment. Part of the role will be supporting other clinicians.

Event Support Officer

The Event Support Officer is responsible for planning and delivering first aid and ambulance provision at public events within the district, working under the District west/East coordinator. This member of staff should be MIMS trained or equivalent with staff management training.
